2023 Elections
Every single EPIC candidate had the best performance for their race in history! For the first time in Ephrata's history, a Democrat earned over 40% of the vote- proving that young candidates and efficient organizing WORKS!
Ephrata and Akron
The EPIC successfully worked with the Ephrata Area Democrats to recruit both the youngest and largest slate of Democratic candidates in the area in history. Chandler Eby and Scott Snipkie ran for Ephrata Borough Council in Wards 3 and 2 respectively; Gavin Grove and Chris Beiler ran for Akron Borough Council. The slate campaigned on protecting funding for the Ephrata Public Library and cleaning up our water supply. The message was clearly well received, as all four candidates would have historically successful performances.
Lancaster County
The EPIC also worked hard to help elect candidates across Lancaster County. The EPIC was proud to endorse Alice Yoder in her successful campaign for Lancaster County Commissioner and knocked on over 2000 doors while campaigning for Alice. EPIC candidates also canvassed for Democratic School Board candidates in Warwick, Hempfield, Elizabethtown, and Manheim Township. The 2023 elections were a team effort and a testament to what happens when Democrats are organized and energized!
